The Women, Science and Technology Learning Community is an innovative joint venture of the WST Center and the Georgia Tech Department of Housing. The learning community enhances the academic and professional development of Georgia Tech undergraduates by creating networks for students and for student-faculty interaction. In addition to providing faculty mentors and research opportunities, the WST Learning Community offers monthly evening programs addressing personal and professional issues for women students entering scientific and technological fields, such as measuring individual success, monitoring female self-esteem in a mostly male environment, and career prospects. Female undergraduates from any mojor interested in living in the WST Learing Community are eligible to apply in spring for housing.
