WRC Student Committees

The Women's Resource Center has two student leader committees who plan the WRC's major programs: Women's Leadership Conference and Women's Awareness Month. The Women's Leadership Conference planning runs January to October with applications due in November. The Women's Awareness Month committee planning runs September through April with applications due in April for the next year.

Women's Awareness Month - Each year a student committee coordinates a month of events celebrating women's accomplishments and raising awareness of women's issues. Annual events include a keynote speaker and Take Back the Night.

Women's Leadership Conference -- Since 1998, a student committee of the WRC has organized a two-day conference to celebrate, recognize, and learn more about the strong leadership exhibited by women of the Georgia Tech community. The Fall 2004 conference featured Cathy O'Dowd who has climbed Mt. Everest - twice.
