Words of Wisdom/Lessons Learned: 1) pick your battles - not all are worth the time, 2) opportunities arise from "who knows where" but the only way to know about "it" is to leave the lab/desk. Grads pay just as much fees as the undergrads so go out and take advantage of events and opportunities - you never know who you'll meet or what opportunity will arise from that.
